Community Garden and Herb Shop
Our Resource Center provides a Network with many Federal, State, County, and Faith-based agencies to assist with homelessness, medical and mental health concerns, clothing, and basic needs.
The Resource Center provides us with a meeting place for corporate business, and support groups. A Military Museum, Chapel/Quiet Area and community kitchen allow for flexibility with our programs and projects. We are working toward the construction of a larger Resource Center that would provide Emergency/Temporary housing for Veteran who might be homeless.
At Othila Inc., we take care to provide our Veterans and their families, as well as members of our community with high quality services personalized for their unique needs. Our volunteer staff members are professional, courteous and efficient.
We provide a variety of services including:
An Ancient forest, woodlands, meadows, and a pond make up the almost 30 acre nature preserve, that is a tranquil, serene place off the beaten path, where the Veteran and their family can relax, walk the Nature Trail, enjoy perennial flower gardens, and a rustic camping area. Annual Camp-out is 3rd Weekend of August!
Wildlife Conservation and Preservation practices maintain the beautiful natural surroundings and a small, controlled, designated, seasonal hunting area is also provided for members.
Othila's Community Garden and orchard produces organic, local vegetables, fruits, and herbs. We educate using a hands-on approach to planting, harvesting, preserving, preparing, and storing of crops.
